Ladies Who Lunch Giveaway: Mario Batali or Elle Lunch Bag

by Tara Kuczykowski on December 3, 2008 · 488 comments

Elle Christy Lunch BagIn my post the other day on seven easy ways to cut $1 or more out of your daily budget, I mentioned that packing your lunch on a daily basis is an excellent way to make huge impact on your budget. Brown-bagging it can get old and boring quickly though . . . until now.

Cosmoda sent me this adorable Elle Christy Lunch Bag, and it almost makes me wish I had an office job again just to be able to carry my lunch back and forth in it! I was surprised at how nice the quality is, and you’d totally never even guess it’s a lunch bag until you unzip it and see the insulated material inside. Both the interior and exterior wipe clean easily, and did I mention just how gosh darn cute it is?!?

Cosmoda wants to help you save money by packing your lunch and still look chic while doing it, so they’ve given me three adorable lunch bags to give away to three lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers!

I like all the Lunch Bags….Super cute….

I try so hard to pack my lunch, I get there 50% of the time, usually it’s leftovers from the day before. But I am feeling extra ambicous….whole wheat bagel, turkey, swiss cheese and honey dijon mustard and some baked bbq lays chips….plus a pickle.

12 Diane December 4, 2008 at 4:45 pm

I would put a turkey sandwich in my lunch with all the fixings. I love to have some fruit that is in season and love grapes. I love you put some chips in there but try to limit the quantity and don’t want to deprive myself or I put in a fun size candy bar for a snack. Some water would be my drink.

13 Diane December 4, 2008 at 4:45 pm

When I was in college me and my hubby would always make double of anything we were eating for dinner. Then we would pack them up and freeze individual portions for our lunches the next day. We could just throw the container into our backpacks and by lunch time they had thawed enough that we could just go to one of the microwaves that they had all over the campus and heat it up for a few seconds and it was ready to go!

I love the Mario bag!

I’d pack pita bread with greek yogurt dip, a banana and a little something sweet.

24 April December 4, 2008 at 7:16 pm

Those bags are too cute! My favorite lunch is a pita bread sandwich stuffed with cucumbers and low-fat cottage cheese (try it, it’s delicious). I’ll throw in a piece of fruit and a jello cup to round things out. If I can’t find good pita bread, I go for tomato and cream cheese (also delicious!) on whole wheat bread. Sadly, these lunches are usually special treats and most often I find myself taking leftovers.

In the Elle Brittany bag I’d pack a small thermos of Italian Wedding soup and some fresh homemade wheat bread, then for dessert I’d pack a small container of yogurt and fresh berries. I’d also stick a granola bar and a small bag of cashews in for snacks.

Cute bags! My healthy lunch consists of a green salad with tuna and a hard boiled egg, wheat thins, and an apple. I have lost 25lbs. this year and I am determined to keep it off.
