Ladies Who Lunch Giveaway: Mario Batali or Elle Lunch Bag

by Tara Kuczykowski on December 3, 2008 · 488 comments

Elle Christy Lunch BagIn my post the other day on seven easy ways to cut $1 or more out of your daily budget, I mentioned that packing your lunch on a daily basis is an excellent way to make huge impact on your budget. Brown-bagging it can get old and boring quickly though . . . until now.

Cosmoda sent me this adorable Elle Christy Lunch Bag, and it almost makes me wish I had an office job again just to be able to carry my lunch back and forth in it! I was surprised at how nice the quality is, and you’d totally never even guess it’s a lunch bag until you unzip it and see the insulated material inside. Both the interior and exterior wipe clean easily, and did I mention just how gosh darn cute it is?!?

Cosmoda wants to help you save money by packing your lunch and still look chic while doing it, so they’ve given me three adorable lunch bags to give away to three lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers!

I have a Lean Cuisine and a Weight Watcher Yogurt and a bottled water. If you can’t guess, I am on a diet! Thanks, Cindy

10 Leah December 5, 2008 at 8:50 am

11 Marcy December 5, 2008 at 9:19 am

I have to have this one to pack my salad that I bring each day to school!

12 Chellsey December 5, 2008 at 9:49 am

My favorite lunch takes you back to the old days when I was a kid! Just plain ole peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a small bag of Baked chips, a pickle, some celery sticks with ranch and don’t forget my favorite chocolate chip cookies!!

13 Sandra December 5, 2008 at 10:06 am

Such adorable bags … I’m a PBJ girl, so I’d had that and of course a diet coke in there! :-)

14 Tricia December 5, 2008 at 10:06 am

I normally pack ham and cheese sandwich, chips, and carrot sticks or some such vegetable.

Too cute. I love all 3! As for what I pack for lunch, I like to make sure I have a healthy mix… so there’s usually a sandwich with tunafish or cheese&mustard (protein and carbs) and a piece of fruit. If I’m packing leftover pasta or something very carb-y, I like to bring an apple, as I keep a jar of peanut butter at my desk for additional protein (apples and peanut butter – yum!). I’m veggie and need all the protein help I can get! Thanks for a fun giveaway.

The best lunch is always dinner leftovers. However, I find that my favorite dish as leftovers for lunch is chicken and rice. When we make it at home it’s obviously the chicken and rice but we add water chestnuts, snow peas, mushrooms, and carrots. As a lunch, the only thing I add is a piece of fruit, usually pears in my house. It’s cheap for dinner and even better that it goes further as a lunch.

I would take a turkey snadwich, an apple, and some pretzels.

21 Julie December 5, 2008 at 10:53 am

In this cold weather, I would take some leftover soup, some crackers, and some fruit.

22 pal p December 5, 2008 at 10:54 am

I do pack my lunch but I need a cute bag for it !!! Thank you.

23 Julie December 5, 2008 at 10:56 am

I would take a salad and some fruit.

24 Kathy December 5, 2008 at 11:16 am

I try to make vegetable soup to take in the winter.
Fills me up and cuts calories.
Thanks

25 Jamie December 5, 2008 at 12:13 pm

I pack my lunch for work every day and am getting so tired of all my handled paper bags falling apart. I’m down to my last one and too cheap to buy a “real” lunch bag. None have been cute enough to weaken my resolve and let go of the cash. But these lunch bags look pretty good. Maybe I’ll win and solve my falling-apart paper bag problem!

Thanks for the offer.

Jamie

26 Melissa Martin December 5, 2008 at 12:22 pm

Typically, it’s a sanwich and fruit, but with one of these babies I could manage to pack some leftovers every now and then too!

27 Brooke D. December 5, 2008 at 12:46 pm

I would pack a Turkey sandwich with all the veggies on it, fruit, and yogurt!

Thank you for the chance!

28 angi harris December 5, 2008 at 1:16 pm

these are adorable!! I would love to win one!! Thanks for the opportunity!

29 Janet H December 5, 2008 at 1:31 pm

I take my lunch almost every day. I ususally take leftovers. I like soups & stews in the winter. In the summer, I like sandwiches, pasta, or salads. Great looking bag! I could start a trend!

30 Lisa December 5, 2008 at 2:28 pm

My usual lunch is a frozen meal, fruit, side salad and a yogurt. Sometimes I add a bag of popcorn.

31 Lisa December 5, 2008 at 2:29 pm

32 Lisa December 5, 2008 at 2:30 pm

I’m usually a leftovers kind of gal. Right now, what with trying to polish off the leftover Thanksgiving turkey, my favorite lunch is a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with lettuce and mayo, a Honeycrisp apple (yum!), yogurt, chips, and some kind of little sweet treat. Thanks for the giveaway – if I win, that will be a big improvement over the plastic Target bag I normally use!

These are adorable and might I add..FASHIONABLE! I save money by making my own uncrustables for my kids lunch and I would get to pack my own if I won. I’d be the ‘cool’ one at work.

37 Carrie December 5, 2008 at 3:04 pm

My favorite lunch to pack is the simplest…..PB and J, with yogurt, carrots, and some kind of chocolate goodie!

These are super cute! Much more stylish than my recycled brown bags that I typically use :) I pack egg or tuna salad, yogurt, fruit, pretzels and sometimes a cookie if we have any. Nothing fancy but it sure is cheaper than going out every day! One of these bags would definitely kick my lunch up a notch!

40 Becky Grayson December 5, 2008 at 4:06 pm

I just found out this week that I am diabetic so I will begin carrying my lunch every day instead of a couple of times a week. I usually bring either a chicken sandwich or turkey sandwich and a cup of fruit. A dessert was usually in there as well but not any more well there will be just a sugar free one. LOL I really love these totes.

Thanks so much!

44 charissa December 5, 2008 at 5:59 pm
