Elle Christy Lunch BagIn my post the other day on seven easy ways to cut $1 or more out of your daily budget, I mentioned that packing your lunch on a daily basis is an excellent way to make huge impact on your budget. Brown-bagging it can get old and boring quickly though . . . until now.

Cosmoda sent me this adorable Elle Christy Lunch Bag, and it almost makes me wish I had an office job again just to be able to carry my lunch back and forth in it! I was surprised at how nice the quality is, and you’d totally never even guess it’s a lunch bag until you unzip it and see the insulated material inside. Both the interior and exterior wipe clean easily, and did I mention just how gosh darn cute it is?!?

Cosmoda wants to help you save money by packing your lunch and still look chic while doing it, so they’ve given me three adorable lunch bags to give away to three lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers!

Would you like to win one of these fabulous lunch bags? Just leave a comment telling me what your favorite well-rounded lunch is that you’d pack!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, or three for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment sharing what lunch you’d pack in this sweet little lunch bag!

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. (Use hashtag #lunchbags, please.) You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winner easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me simplify the process!

Prize:
1 of 3 Mario Batali or Elle Lunch Bags (ARV $20-$30)

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sunday, December 7th. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment number and post the winner on Monday, December 8th. Good luck!

I would pack- almonds, cottage cheese, lettuce salad, a bottle of water and Diet Dr. Pepper. It’s my new healthy lunch for the week. I plan a lunch for the week and buy all the items each weekend, and then I bring a lunch 4 out of 5 days. The other day is a restaurant day to treat myself!

2 disco December 5, 2008 at 8:42 pm

I would pack peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (cause nothing travels as well as pbj) and some type of gut warming soup/stew/chili.

Buying lunch on a daily basis with today’s financial and economic crisis is not an option for me. I pack my oatmeal for my morning meals, snacks suck as cheese, yogurts or fruits and for lunch everyday is something different. Typically left over food from the previous nights dinner, if not a ham and cheeses sandwich or turkey sandwich. When I pack a light lunch I have to pack a few snack’s to keep my appetite full. This lunch bag will be a great gift for me because I currently use my sons Sponge bob lunch bags.

To a Great Lunch!
Regards,
Melinda Frometa

Love the satchel bag. My lunch choice would be spinach salad with walnuts, cranberries and maybe grilled chicken and paul newman’s light raspberry and walnut dressing and a vanilla yogurt.

9 Eryn December 5, 2008 at 10:57 pm

I would pack a variety of things, I have to snack all the time or my blood sugar bottoms out. Yay hypoglycemia! Nothing like acting drunk at your child’s school! We practice the “Waste Free Lunch” program, so this would help me do that in style!

I’m a loyal reader and have told all my friends and family all that I’ve learned from your awesome blog! Thanks for all you do! (I hope I win….fingers crossed!) We’ve been brown-bagging it for a while now, and this would definitely be a little more stylish than our grocery bags and brown paper bags…and much more eco-friendly!

16 Diane December 6, 2008 at 12:38 am

I would love a new lunch bag. I normally take a sandwhich and apple. Sometimes leftovers from the night before.

I’d sautee mushrooms with diced garlic, and pour them over a wedge of brie, then hunk of crusty bread to eat the mushrooms and brie. And a rollup sandwich with pimento cheese and cucumber. A handful of pecans, if we get any after Ike, and a green apple. I think Elle Brittany Lunch Bag would be great, but they’re all lovely, thanks 8^)

Hi there – my favorite lunch to pack is a chicken salad sandwich on toast (mix chicken with a small squirt of mayo and a few spoonfuls of ranch dressing; season with a seasoning blend like Mrs. Dash), apple slices, yogurt, and a juice. =)

Thanks for a chance to win.

As a teacher who has to monitor my class during lunch, I had to learn to pack things that I could carry around with me as I watched my class. Apples, yogurt, granola bars, and a sandwhich cut in half were some of things I could handle. There wasn’t time to nuke anything with only 25 minutes for lunch either.

45 Daniel's Mom December 7, 2008 at 9:50 am

I have an nine month old who salivates when I eat lunch. I try to eat after he goes down for his afternoon nap. By then I am starving. I try to eat whole grain pasta, fruit, and cheese to feed that hunger. If we need to be out, I pack the fruit and a meat and cheese sandwhich on while grain bread.

I though when I stayed home I won’t need a lunch box, but I still carry one.
