Starbucks: FREE Drink On Your Birthday

by Tara Kuczykowski on August 25, 2009 · 15 comments

FREE Starbucks Drink
Okay, so I might just be a bit of a Starbucks junkie. I’m very anxiously awaiting the arrival of my favorite seasonal drink – the Pumpkin Spice Lattes! It’s a sad day in my house when my local shop uses the last of the pumpkin spice syrup for the season.

Anyhow, if you’re a Starbucks lover too, you can score a FREE Starbucks drink on your birthday when you update your Rewards Card profile. Enjoy!

Don’t have a Rewards Card? You can redeem 1350 Swag Bucks for a $10 Starbucks Rewards Card.

7-eleven has pumpkin spice capuccino that tastes just like Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte for only .99 cents in the fall also. A great alternative to a 4 dollar latte.

from reading their site, it sounds like you have to have the Starbucks Gold ($25/yr) membership thing to get a free birthday drink.

Hi,

I signed up in the beginning of August. Never received my rewards card and never received a free drink on my b-day in Sept. I wrote them in Sept and they said they would mail a rewards card. Well end of Oct and no card. I was bummed, because I was so looking forward to my b-day drink.

I signed up for swagbucks based on your claim that you could get a $10 Starbucks giftcard for 135 swagbucks. I looked and it’s 1300 swagbucks. Now it looks like you’re saying there’s a Mastercard for 135 swagbucks, but where do you go to claim it?:

Karen, this was posted before they changed their pricing a few weeks ago. Thanks for letting me know I need to update it!

Iis there still a $10 Mastercard for 135 swagbucks? If so, how do you access that?

12 Tara Kuczykowski March 15, 2010 at 10:17 pm

No, they recently increased the value of the Swagbucks so that what was formerly worth only one Swagbuck is now worth 10 Swagbucks, and they increased all of the prizes by the same amount. So it’s also 1350 Swagbucks now.

In otherwords, they increased the value of the swagbucks gifts, but NOT the value of the swagbucks? My 164 swagbucks are worth 164. Is that correct?

14 Tara Kuczykowski March 16, 2010 at 12:57 pm

Is that what’s currently in your account, Karen? Any Swagbucks that were earned before the change were multiplied by 10 to keep them consistent with the change.

That is what shows in my account. I just signed up about a week ago. I guess I missed the updating. I joined because my birthday is 3/10, and I was excited about the free birthday coffee, and $10 Starbucks giftcard, but at this rate, I’ll never get anything. What a shame! Thanks for being so responsive.
