Shannon at For The Mommas found a great unadvertised deal on Axe Shower Gel at Target!
Axe Shower Gel 2-pk. gift sets are on sale for $5, and you’ll receive a $5 Target gift card when you purchase two. Note that this deal likely will not be marked, but if you scan one of the items, the scanner should display the promotion.
Here’s how you can get them for just $0.75 each:
Buy (2) Axe Shower Gel 2-pk. Gift Sets at $5
Get $5 Target gift card wyb 2
Use (2) $1/1 Axe Shower Gel or Detailer Tool
$0.75 ea. after coupons and Target gift card!
I am definitely checking this one out because my husband loves this stuff. Hopefully there is still something left by the time I make it over there.

was clearly marked (sale price and gift card info) on an end cap at my target today. Passed it by but maybe I’ll pick some up for my husband tomorrow
Is the math off on this? Shouldn’t it be $1.50 each?
thats what I was thinking!
The gift sets contain 2 full size bottles of shower gel, so you’re getting a total of 4 bottles making them $0.75 each. Sorry to confuse you.
Unless there is something she isn’t telling us… the math is wrong.
I was confused at first too but then I realized you are paying $1.50 per 2 pack. You get four bottles with this deal so it does come out to $0.75 each.
Hey did you buy your hubby the movie The Hangover DVD for Christmas? If you did and you still have the receipts there is a $3 rebate out there when you buy 2 Axe products… Making the Axe Free!!
When will this sale end?
Paula, do you have a link?

here’s the rebat info HTH
Thanks for the info!!
I live is Southern California and I found the two-pack of Axe shower gel and they cost $6.94 the two-pack, so I guess the deal isn’t here in Southern California.
To me it still does not add up. You have to buy (2) 2-packs at $5.00 each for a total of $10 minus (2)$1 coupons bringing your total to $8. Subtract from $8 the $5 gift card bringing your total to $3 for (2) 2-packs or 4 bottles. 4 bottles divided by $3 equals $1.33 per bottle plus tax. Am I not figuring right? Help me out.
Oh never mind, I was doing the math wrong. If you take $3 and divide it by the 4 bottles you come up with .75 per bottle. It has been a long day…maybe year. Correct me if I am wrong.
It’s $3 divided by 4(bottles) which is .75 cents each, (not 4 divided by 3).
I need to go tomorrow, so hopefully I can get in on this too
THX
They were clearly marked on the endcap @ my store. However, they only had sets that had 1 shower gel & the “shower tool” or 1 spray & 1 deodorant, 1 shampoo & 1 hair gel.
I got last night & they we not marked but there only was a few left
I forgot
Thanks!! :-)
I went to my local target in Western NY today and found the shower gels on a clearly marked end cap. I will note that there are two-pack shower gels with the rest of the axe products that are not the special deal ones, I’d encourage the CA Mom to check again.
I went and found the two packs on an endcap, marked as $5, but nothing about the GC. When I scanned at the price check it did not mention the promotional so I didn’t try to see if it would ring up correctly at the checkout. I may try later. I’d love to hear if it works for anyone else in the DFW area!
i live in mn and got mine today they were not gift pack ones, but they were with the gift packs it had 2 different sized gels wrapped together for 5 bucks a piece. Smae deal just not as a gift pack. also clearly marked
I went to my local target today in Garland, TX and this deal was not marked nor did it say anything about the gift card when I scanned it at the scanner. I went to a cashier and asked him to check and it worked so I was able to get the deal!
I went today in Northeast PA. The deal was clearly marked, but there were not the 2-pack of shower gel. It was a shampoo and a small thing of the hair tool goop bundled together.
I went to Target today in MI and they were clearly marked with a sign indicating the gift card deal. But like Shawn M. said, they only had sets that had 1 shower gel & the “shower tool” or 1 spray & 1 deodorant or 1 shampoo & 1 hair gel and the coupon is for the shower gel only, not the deodorant. Not many left though!
I got the last 2 at my store in SA, TX. The register didn’t want to take my coupons though and the supervisor said it was because the coupon was only good on single packs, these were doubles. The coupons don’t specify a particular size I don’t think, but she did take them (‘just this once’).
I picked these up tonight in my Saginaw, MI store. They were clearly marked $5 on the end cap display, but said nothing about the $5 gift card. It rang up fine at the register, and they had no problem using my coupons. They didn’t have sets with two full size shower gels, it was a full 12 oz. shower gel and a 8.45 oz shower gel.
So it sounds like the gift sets vary by location. Thanks for the info, everyone! I’m going to head to my local Target to see what I can find in the morning.
can’t get the coupon link to work.
Thank you so much for the post about this deal, I wouldn’t have known about it unless it ended up in their ad before the offer ended.
The Target I went to in Meyerland, Texas, Houston area, has the offer clearly marked and indicates the $5.00 gift card offer is good up until Feb 6 2010. I also went to Target in Pearland, Texas and the offer wasn’t posted so there was a good variety and amount of sets left, and the offer did ring up just fine when I checked out.
Thank you ~*~ Thank you ~*~ Thank you
The math is wrong on this. $5 x 2 = $10 – 5 gc = $5 – 2 x 1/1 ip = 3 or 1.50 ea so not .75 ea but 1.50 ea. I bought 2, used 2 1/1 coupons and a 5 g/c and my total was still $3.30 after tax so 1.50 ea!!!! I’m not sure if I liked the deal after reading it was .75 ea but I’m sure hubby will still love it lol.
As I mentioned, most of the gift packs have two full size items in them. My final price takes this into account. You’re paying $3 for four full size items making them $0.75 each after coupons and gift card.
Can you tell me how I can go about printing coupons for target from the previous weeks…….I’m looking for coupons from a few weeks ago that haven’t expired yet….when I look on target’s website, all it shows are this weeks sale……If you know of a website I could go to I would appreciate it….Seems like I always run into this problem now that their format for printing their coupons has changed….used to go to hotcouponworld.com to print out the target coupons from previous weeks, but they don’t list the older coupons from target anymore either :(
THANKS
Ah ha thanks for clarifying that Tara. That makes more sense now. I was just reading into it as .75 for each and when I was workin the deal and it was more I was like, huh?! LOL!
It’s okay — I know it was a little confusing. Unfortunately, my store only had the deodorant and body spray sets left, and my husband isn’t really into body spray.
Lucy, Target has changed their coupon printing system, so there’s no way to get coupons that are no longer on their site anymore. The only thing we can do is print coupons that we think we might use if we find a sale.
I know this is an older deal but I was in my local target (Rock Hill, SC) and noticed they still had PLENTY of these gift sets, clearly marked at $5 each, with the gift card promotion also advertised. I don’t know how many readers get the Val-Pak coupons in the mail but in the most recent val-pak here, there was a coupon for $1.50 off an axe purchase…making this deal even sweeter!
They wouldn’t take two coupons from me at my target in vegas b/c the coupon says one per purchase on product….i tried to argue didn’t work..oh well still a deal though
That’s a bummer, Noelani. One per purchase basically means one per item. Sounds like they were equating it with one per transaction which is totally different. :(
