Did both of these transactions and actually the Almay one coat mascara is better than free- I got $1.01 overage! The coupon in the November booklet doesn’t adjust down to the purchase price when they scan it! (YES!) So be sure to add a filler! Oh, I love it!!!
PS, another commenter (Jamie) posted she didn’t get the 2nd coupon to ring b/c she DIDN’T have a filler. So, the cashier scanned the coupon, but only $4 came off, not $8… so make SURE you have at least $1.01 filler or you won’t have free mascara!
I went at 11pm Sunday after reading the post that they were ringing up as a BOGO Free. Sorry to say it DID NOT WORK for me here in Iowa. It did ring up the 50% off though. Whether you buy the free-after-RR foundation with the mascara or the eye shadow…you still get it all for free. The eye shadow makes $1.25 profit but you have to pay upfront for it…whereas if you buy the mascara at half price of $3.49 and use the $4 Q it’s automatically free at purchase + you get .51c overage

Im not sure if I understand how to do this deal. I want to buy the foundation and mascara. So cant you explain what the deal are? Is it buy one almay product get one free? Is the coupon that is in the walgreens book for $4 off almay products and it will take off for both of them?
I went this morning and tried to get 2 mascaras (6.99 each)…they rang up BOGO 50% off…and the coupon only took $4 off, not $8…am I doing it wrong?
I figured after so many people caught onto the glitch that corporate got it fixed by the end of the day. If anyone else gets it throughout the week let us know. I don’t see why it would work in some areas and not in others. It’s not like each store sets their own computer systems. I would think if you got it Laurie that I would have too being that we’re so close.

Went to Walgreens in Plant City, FL. I bought 1 Almay pure blends foundation and reg. 1 eyeshadow. The eye shadow rang up free! I received $10.00 RR. Darn wish I had read this before leaving out this morning…but on the good side. I rolled my RR and bought the 2010 Entertainment book. It is selling right now for $35.00 but I only paid $15.00 after using their $10.00 off coupon in the circular too.
I am in the Detroit area. I bought 2 one coat mascaras this morning along with a few other items and they rang up BOGO. I was only able to use one $4 coupon. I passed another Walgreens this afternoon and bought 1 pure blends foundation and 1 pure blends mascara. The mascara rang up at 50% off and the $10 AND $5 RR printed.

AC – Did you buy the One Coat mascara or the Pure Blends mascara? Because the $5 RR is only printing for the Pure Blends line.

This deal is awesome! I used the $10RR to buy more make up so I ended up with about $80 worth for $26 OOP and had $25 RR left over! The mascara coupon didn’t double for me, but that’s still really cheap! And I got packages with free eyeliners in them!! :) Great Monday!
Angela, I bought the One Coat because that’s what the wags Q was for…I didn’t know if they would take it for the other kind. Because I live in a small town, they don’t make a fuss over a few transactions so I was able to buy 4 of the foundations and for 3 of them I paired it with the P.B. eyeshadow which gave me the $5RR. Those however also only rang up at 50% instead of free like all you lucky gals. :(
Do both deals together in the same transaction to decrease your oop and cover the overage issue. So buy 1 Pure Blends Almay foundation @ $9.99, and either a Pure Blends lipgloss or eyeshadow, which will be FREE, then grab 2 of the One-Coat Almay mascara and use the $4 coupon to get them FREE + overage. Should be $8.98 + tax and get $15RR. HTH those who aren’t getting it to work/ not understanding.
I just went to a South Florida Walgreens and the Almay is NOT BOGO. I purchased a Pure Blends foundationa and Intense color Eyeshadow and only received a $10 RR. Did I do something wrong?I can’t find a printed list of Monthly Register Rewards to take with me to Walgreens to try to get the $5 RR for the eyeshadow. Am I missing something?
Beth, the RR is only for the Pure Blends line, and it sounds like you bought the eye shadow from a different line.
Deal did not work in Lincoln, NE – rang up buy one get one 50%
i just went and got 16 mascaras! plus got the foundation and lip gloss. paid $10 OOP ($6 was NY sales tax ugh) and got back $15 RR
I just got back from Wags and did as Laurie suggested above and it worked like a charm no problems.
Sorry to report that using the Unilever $7RR from the Vaseline deal from October will, for some reason, prevent the Almay RR from printing.

This deal worked for me and check out the Burberry Brit for Women 50% off deal and get this for possibly 10.99. I did tonight at 7:30 p.m. and it worked like a charm…WooooHOOOO!!

This worked at one of my Walgreens…but not at another…I thought that was weird!
Did the this: Bought the foundation for 9.99, picked up a pure blends eye shadow, Also 2 one coat mascaras. Everything rang up. Used the almay coupon and got 15.00 in RR this evening in Wisconsin. The eye shadow did ring up as BOGO for me as well so it turned out to be a money maker for sure! I also took the Lubriderm deal and bought 3 of those and used only the diabetics coupon book in the pharmacy. I ended up paying a small amount per bottle but so worth it! Would have been a much better deal had my printer been working!
I just got back and they did ring up BOGO for me and I got the RRs on the Pure Blend. Just a note- the wags coupon did not work on the mascaras with the bonus eye makeup remover. The cashier suggested picking up the ones without the bonus and it worked just fine.

I bought 3 Lubriderm and got my $8 RR. I also got the Almay one coat mascara with free eye make-up remover. The cashier couldn’t get the coupon to work and called the manager. He told me to get a regular mascara and he scanned that in place of one of the mascara’s with the free eye make-up remover and it worked fine. I left with the 2 mascaras both with free make-up remover! It took $8 off. YAY!!!

i tried to buy 2 of the one coat mascaras twice yesterday. first time, she scanned both items and then the $4 coupon which took off $8. but then she totalled it and both had rang up full price. i had her take them off and on the next transaction i gave her two of the mascaras and had her total it before i gave her the $4 coupon. this time they did ring up at bogo half off. i had to add something else before it would take the $4 coupon as my total was under $8. i think some individual walgreen stores have fixed this in their system because when they had the huggies wipes deal, the coupon rang up for $2 at all stores i went to but not one.
Our Walgreens in SC are giving the BOGO on the Almay. I scored big because I found 2for1 pkgs. in with the Christmas specials so I got 4 mascaras FREE!!! THANKS!!!
Went to Walgreens yesterday and purchased the foundation and the one coat mascara that had a free eye makeup remover. They did ring up BOGO free. I also used the $4 off coupon which didn’t scan right so the cashier just over rided it. So I paid $6 and tax and got the $10 RR but didn’t get the $5 RR. So I purchased one more foundation and a regular one coat mascara and used another $4 coupon I bought about $6 in fillers and used the $10 RR and paid about $2 but I didn’t get a second $10 RR.
Julie, you didn’t get another RR because you can’t roll register rewards on the same type of deal that you earned them on. In the future it helps to alternate deals from different manufacturers if you want to roll them.
I’m new to Walgreens coupon shopping (and all coupon shopping really) and tried the Almay deal last night. I got one pure blends foundation and one eye shadow (9.99 and 7.99). They came out B1G1 1/2 off, not B1GO, but I was still thrilled since I got both RRs. My question is if I got back tonight can I purchase a pure blends eye shadow and a lip gloss (or a mascara and shadow etc.) and get $5 rewards for each, or does this deal only work when you buy a foundation and another product? Oh and I got the 8RR for the Lubriderm lotion too (but the lotions rang up as $4.29 regular price instead of 3.79 as some people were getting). Kari, you can only earn RRs for a deal once per transaction, so your best bet is the foundation and eye shadow. And you won’t earn anything if you use the RRs that you earned doing the transaction the first time since it would be for the same deal.

I bought 2 pure blends foundations and received $10 RR. How are you able to receive $10 AND $5 RR? Is it a separate promotion to buy eye shadow or lip gloss ect?

Maya – as Tara said in the above post, you can only get 1 RR for each promotion per transaction. So if you buy 2 of the foundations you won’t get 2 RR’s, just 1. That’s why the suggested deal is to buy 1 foundation and 1 of the eyeshadows, etc. that are printing 5RR’s. You can also buy all of these things on the same transaction (2 mascaras, 1 foundation, 1 eyeshadow) and it will take care of the extra $ you need for the mascara. The total will come out to about $9 and you’ll get 15 RR’s back. Yay!
Even if they get the registers fixed this will still be a money maker for the foundation/eyeshadow deal this week – +$1.50!

Yes, Maya, you have to purchase the items per the scenario in the post. Two foundations will only generate $10 in RRs because you can only earn RRs on one like offer in a single transaction.
I have the same question as Kari. If I purchase a pure blends eye shadow full price (7.99) and a pure blends lip gloss half price (3.50) and pay in cash will I get a $5RR for each ($10RR total)? They are different items with different bar codes right? Or do I have to buy a foundation somewhere in the mix to get the deal?
Brooklyn, that won’t work. You have to purchase the items as laid out in the scenario to earn RRs on both of them. You’d only earn $5 RRs based on your scenario because both items are part of the same deal.
I have good and bad news for anyone in my area (Burlington, IA)
The first walgreens I went to was only giving the 50% off as of Sunday. So I went to the other Walgreens Monday night and bought few items and that one was doing the BOGO free Almay. So I went back today to get more and THEY FIXED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM. The store that was ringing it up as BOGO Free is now ringing up as BOGO50%. So maybe they have yet to fix it in your areas but I would definitely ASK FIRST before you get too far into the transaction about how that 2nd one rings up.
Just wanted to share: I’ve done this deal successfully 4 times at 2 different stores, and tonight went to a 3rd store for one more round, and it did NOT work. I am now a believer that it’s varying from store to store. No idea why, but it is. And I owe most of you an appology, b/c secretly I was thinking “they just didn’t do it right/ must have bought the wrong products.” So, “sorry y’all!”
All store locations were within the same city (so it’s not a “regional” thing), and I bought the EXACT same items (I’m 100%+), but it did not ring up BOGO free- it was BOGO 50%. So, clearly, what is working @ one store is not at the next! Beware.
I tried this tonight in Green Bay WI at the two East Mason stores. Unfortunately, I realized too late that it was ringing correctly at b1g1 50% off. I did better at the second store, however, and got the foundation and the eye shadow for a slight moneymaker.
Did the Lubriderm deal at both places, MM at first store because I had all 4 Qs. Only two computers, so the second store just had one MQ left, and used the Wags Q. Still free, so a great deal! Can we update the deal so ppl don’t lose out now that the BOGO is no longer nationwide?
