Thanks for your work Tara. I was able to get some of the stuff listed. My Walmart is priced higher and my coupons are often lower value. I got the McCormick, sour cream, Mr Bubbles, Kotex, No nonsense, and more. The OJ (2.99), Betty Crocker frosting (priced at 1.46), and Olay soap (1.69) are some that didn't work out. I am in western Massachusetts. I was happy with my week's spending of $46 total: Walmart, Wlagreens, CVS, Rite Aid, and my local grocery store Big Y. This is for my family of 4.

The work everyone does on these lists is appreciated, but it rarely works at my local wal-mart. Prices at my Wal-mart are up to 50% higher than those listed. Example Airhead extremes were .64, but now they are charging $1.00. I rarely shop at Wal-Mart, the prices are too high and they are always out of stuff, I end up stopping somewhere else anyway. Not very coupon friendly.

Oh, one tip if you use/buy the McCormick or Lawry's Taco Mixes. **You can trade the ground beef for chicken and make yummy chicken tacos if you want to shake things up a little. These mixes are definitely worth the purchase (especially when they cost .02 at most with your coupons).

What a fun shopping trip!

I also found that they sell Lawry's Seasoning Packs for as little as .52 each. Use your .50/1 Lawry's Coupon & it'll cost you only .02 each!! :)
I got the Taco Spices & Seasonings.

Here's the deals from this post that I found at my Walmart in Az:
Mr. Bubble
Vitamin Water
McCormicks
Axe - trial size
Kotex
Airheads

There were a few deals that didn't pan out:
Daisy Sour Cream
Mahatma Rice
Trop50
Freshetta
Betty Crocker Frosting
Olay

But I got $60 worth in groceries (counting non-couponed items)
for a grand total of $9.40 (that includes tax)

YEAH!

The Olay 2 packs are $2.49 in Orlando FL and Atlanta GA.

Has anyone actually found them for $1.97. I saw someone post that they USED to be $1.97 but the price has gone up since then.

We didn't get the Axe coupon in orlando :-(

Don't you just love Tara's site? I sure do.

I live in Fairhope, AL so most of the deals are regional but if you keep any eye out some of them will finally catch up Alabama. For example the IAMS dog food went on sale 3 days before the coupon expired.

Katie: I would email corporate about the internet coupons, they will get it straight with the manager. I am told that "unless the manager owns that store (not!), they have to follow corporate policy. I had the same issue with our store, but after they looked it up on the internet they were fine with it and I no longer have an issue. Here is how I handled it.

Just remember to "grit your teeth and smile, because you know you are right and they just don't know it yet". Quote from my 99 year old Great-Great Grandmother. :-}

I live in a major market just outside of a metropolitan area and have access to multiple stores. We have 3 Supercenters and 10 stores within a 30 mile radius. I have used the pricebook method on almost all of them, and the differences are very noticeable.

Here's what I know about pricing: the prices you are charged for an item can and do vary wildly within the same county, let alone regional markets. After calmly conversing in a friendly and non-aggressive manner with the store manager who had noticed me writing down prices and obviously not happy with what I'd found, I was told that prices are based on the economic data of the surrounding communities. In a given area, certain prices are going to be lower on some items, while others in the same store are the same as you'd find at the other end of the county. Clothing styles and even the range of movies and music are based on the data the main office has on your local area's tastes (is your area more inclined towards country music, or can they sell another style of music faster?). At the store closest to my home, I consistently find prices quoted in every saver blog to be much lower than I find in this store, while a 15 minute trip to the Supercenter offers me slightly higher or exact prices quoted in the blogs. But the Supercenter is too much for my MIL to deal with (noise, crowds, size and difficulty finding an available wheelchair) so I can only shop there when I have someone to stay home with her.

My advice to all of you who have more than one store to choose from is to figure out the top 10 items you normally buy, and then go to more than one store and find the prices for those items (if you can find a Supercenter and two regular stores, you're in for an eye-opener). For the same exact item, in 4 of the 13 stores I have found prices for my favorite item to be anywhere from $.10 higher to $.80 higher. One store however had this item at $.60 less than all the others!

Now, this isn't much to people who are used to buying everything brand-name only without a coupon , but to anyone who has had to budget to the eye-teeth on food stamps, if you add that $.60 up over 10 items you were overcharged for, it means a LOT.

Sorry for the long post, but I did want to share what I'd learned. Blessings to all, especially those who go out and make the deals and then share them!

Guys I hate to here you are having these issues with walmart. I am a front end associate with walmart and these issues do not happen at my store in Alabama. Products are matched brand for brand with in a 30 mile radius. As long as internet coupons have an expiration date, Manufactors name and address and is totally legiable there is no problem there either. A few stores that we can not match add prices for are: Dollar General, Big Lots, Save-a-Lot(these stores carry close outs or fall under special pricing guide lines). I'm sorry to here you deal with hateful managers we have a great manager who truly believes we are there for the customer you will even find him a many of busy days on the registers himself along with his co-maagers and assistant managers. you can report these issues through 1-800-walmart they take these issues very seriously and each store does get feed back from calls on there store and do have to answer to them. Prices are regional but most of the time you can find most common brands in every store.

We live in Alabama and I go to the Troy Wal-mart all the time. Well, they absolutely don't take internet coupons and they will not match prices. I am so done with that Wal-mart. And don't try to talk to a manager because they are so hateful to you.

Deal Seeking Mom was one of the first "frugal" websites I found, and I keep coming back! Your information is usually right on, but I always go to the store with a print out knowing that some deals will vary.

A couple weeks ago, you posted about rollbacks from Wal-Mart on two particular items and I searched through my coupons. Oh, the thrill!

Your dedication in sharing links, tips, and news about deals and discounts has helped me tremendously. My cup runneth over! Thanks.

Katie,

The Walmart coupon policy is to take IP coupons. They have a list of what must be on them, but I would find this policy (on this blog!) and print it out to take with me to the store. I keep a copy in my coupon binder and if there is any hassle I pull it out.
According to what I have been told by customer service, Walmart follows uniform policies and managers aren't allowed to make up their own rules as they go (unlike CVS). If you have an issue with your store I would report the problem ASAP.
Hope this helps!!

Walmart was a great disappointment to me. Last week I read the ad and went. The didn't have items or wrong prices... but the worst was when it came time for coupons. According to a manager they will no longer take black & white internet coupons. Went back the next day... with in color internet coupons and the same manager so they would no longer take any internet coupons due to fraud (illegal copying). I find this ridiculous since every other store will take them and not make any deal about it at all. And now Walmart won't even take the color ones. I am so done with Walmart.

Tara,
Thanks for trying to get us the good deals. It's too bad that we can't all benefit from a good deal, but I guess that's the way it goes :)

I really do appreciate the effort you put into posting new deal/info. This must be a full time job for you. Just know that your sincere efforts to save us money don't go unnoticed or unappreciated.

A lot of the other deal sources/blogs have started charging for their services and have started to posted stuff that seem to be against the best interest of the "coupon consumer", but you are consistent and dedicated to saving us money.

Thanks for helping me to stretch a dollar & make ends meet for my growing family. I think that alot of people tend to feel scared with the way the economy is changing, but this whole system with coupons has really helped me to feel like I can contribute more to my family and with what I have accomplished in savings I have felt less fear for what is to come in the immediate future.

Sorry for the long msg, mainly I've just been wanting to say Thank You!

Here is a link to what I found free in East TX. The Olay was not free here (2.49) but I found some great free after rebate items.

Sorry, ladies. :( That's the drawback to covering Walmart. They don't put out a weekly grocery ad, and their prices vary by region. I post deals that I find personally, as well as those that I find on message boards, other blogs, and those that are submitted to me. While you probably won't be able to take advantage of every deal I post, my goal is to at least have something for everyone by pulling from a variety of sources.
