It’s been a good while since I’ve seen a legitimate test drive offer, so I was excited to learn about this test drive offer for the 2011 Kia Sorrento.

Test-drive the all-new 2011 Kia Sorento between February 8, 2010, and March 15, 2010, and you’ll receive a $25 prepaid card! Just fill out the form, print the ecertificate, and present it to the dealership for validation!

Thanks, I Could Use A Deal!

Cool. I am going to pass this on to my husband. He will be happy. We are actually looking at larger vehicles right now.

I understand that the gift is a prepaid card for $25, but what can I use the card on??? Is it a phone card or prepaid Visa or other credit card??? Thanks, Chris

I am also looking to buy a new vehicle. Does anyone have feedback on this one?

I’d LOVE to do this deal simply to get to drive one of these vehicles! However, I know I’d want the vehicle when I was done; and, that’s simply NOT possible. So, maybe I better pass on this, even if it does mean a $25 GC.

Cool, free GC! Can’t beat that! I know this type of vehicle will be too small to pull our camper, but I’ll go just for the GC.

Chris, a perpaid Visa is just like a regular Visa, it can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, but it doesnt require a credit check and all the terms and conditions. Once you reach your $25 limit, it will decline.

Many years ago Hyundai (the vehicle i currently own) sent me several test drive certificates in the mail, and offered gift cards. I didnt need a card but went down to the dealership, told them i wasn’t interested in a car, just wanted to test drive one so i could get my gift card. They would just sign the certificate, i mailed the info in and got my gift cards. Never had any trouble with them, never had to test drive. Even though i would have. Enjoyed spending the money! I think its worth it!

So you are saying it is a Visa prepaid card???

11 Tara Kuczykowski February 9, 2010 at 6:48 pm

The offer doesn’t specify what kind of prepaid card it is, but I’m assuming it’s either Visa or AmEx.

I signed up and they e-mailed me an offer that looked identical but offered a $75 gift card! I am going as soon as I can this week. I don’t know if this will always happen, but be sure to check your in-box just in case!

Sounds great but my father was recently laid off and is trying to make ends meet selling cars right now and I would hate to take up any persons time that really could use the commision for something like this. So unless they just sign them off , I would love to get it but would pass since I don’t need a car . But thank you ;)

That’s a good point, Lara. Most dealerships won’t require a test drive though, and if you read the fine print, you’ll see that some states actually state that none is required.

The pre-paid GC is Visa and the new Sorento is actually pretty amazing with panoramic sunroof, push-start, and many other cutting-edge amenities included even in the base model and it is quite a value..Kia has really re-branded themselves… definitely a vehicle to check out!!
