Deal Seeking Mom was featured on NBC 4 News yesterday! They actually came to my house for the interview, so I didn’t have to scramble for a babysitter. However, the baby did insist on being nursed during the middle of taping, LOL! Thankfully they cut out his little tantrum. It all goes with the territory of being a mom!

The press surrounding the Elevenmoms/Money Saving Moms community is beginning too. Here are a few articles that are floating around out there if you’re interested.

Other Elevenmoms news:

  • Elevenmoms will be receiving advance notice of free samples being featured on Walmart’s website which, of course, we can share with our wonderful readers!
  • The grocery contest will start on October 3rd, so start working on your money-saving video tips to win a year’s worth of groceries!

I’ll be sharing more exciting news as things are finalized, so stay tuned . . .

I liked reading your blog and was excited about the deals at Wal-Mart, however the prices in our area tended to be a little higher on some items (up to a $1 in some cases). Also I printed a few coupons that you had links to and Wal-Mart refused to use them, they said they were frauds. Needless to say I was very embarrassed as the cashier announced VERY LOUDLY that they were fraud and that she could not take them. I remember 2 of them being Vlassic relish and the Duncan Hines carrot cake. I still managed to get good deals on a few items, but I tend to do better on grocery items at Kroger.

Wow, I’m sorry you had such a bad experience. I do mention that the prices vary widely by region, but as far as the coupons, that is definitely not Walmart’s corporate policy, and those coupons are not fraudulent.

Sometimes as consumers we need to take thing into our own hands, so I’d recommend you print off the corporate policy (you can find the link in the Walmart deals post), and have it in hand when speaking to the store manager. It’s his or her job to ensure that the store is meeting Walmart’s standards, and I’m sure this cashier’s behavior will not be tolerated. You could also contact their customer service at 1-800-WALMART.

I hope you get this resolved!
