In the fine print, when you click on ‘details, it says, “The qualifying order must be placed during the promotion period, which starts on the day the promotional email is sent and ends 6 days later (at 11:59 PM PST).”
Doesn’t that contradict the expiration date?

try using tenoff, see if it works for you. It is a valid code. Didn’t work for me though.

Expiration date clarification- I e-mailed Shutterfly about the expiration date. They said there is a glitch in the system and the actual expiration date for the $15 credit is 12/23/09.

Ok, I emailed their customer service and here is the email they sent back explaining why it doesn’t work for everyone:
