There is a tearpad coupon out for the planters trail mix for $1/2, these don’t expire until 12/31/09. The trail mix is very good!

Anyone have any suggestions for inexpensive filler items at Walgreens? I seem to only be able to find candy at 69 cents. Any non-food items for less than a dollar?

3 Shawn June 20, 2009 at 10:11 pm

Ramen Noodles $0.29
Clearance office supplies (folders, notebooks, etc) $0.25 & up

I use the carmel candy which cost 3 for 99 cent or the fingernail files. You might have to get the fingernail files over by the beauty counter. I hope this helps a little.

There is usually something else on sale that I need – i.e. milk for $1.99 or butter for $2. My hubby uses Walitin D, so I often throw that in too. I try not to use filler items that I don’t need because it’s still money… The ramen noodles is a good idea though!

FYI, the “yellow box” cheerios isn’t pictured on the ad, and in my experience that one rarely goes on sale. I wouldn’t be surprised if that one is excluded. I hope not though, we go through cheerios so fast with an almost-one-year-old! :)

Another FYI, my filler item this week will be the Deerfield Farms shredded cheese – there’s an in-ad coupon for it 2/$3, which is cheaper per-ounce than Great Value brand (Walmart). The in-ad coupons don’t count as manufacturer coupons, so it will work perfectly – and it’s something I need to buy anyway at a great price.

Thanks for the linky! Happy Father’s Day to your hubby! Hope you all have fun doing something great for “dad”.

The Walgreens I went to had the Lysol spray bundled with a free package of Lysol wipes so I paid $7/2, used two $1.00 of coupons and received a RR for $2.00. So for my $3.00 out of pocket cost I received 2 cans of Lysol spray and 2 containers of 35 count wipes!

9 angie June 21, 2009 at 7:11 pm

shannon, have you signed up w cheerios? they are sending me a $1.00 coupon that i can print twice once a week since i did. not sure how long it last.

10 heidi June 21, 2009 at 7:38 pm

I went to do the kerasal deal and the fine print on the paper in front of the product said I needed to buy 2 to get the 5RR’s – not one- has anybody bought this and gotten the RR’s?

11 Tara Kuczykowski June 21, 2009 at 8:51 pm

Heidi, if you check the comments at the following link, you’ll see a representative from Kerasal commented that you only need to purchase one.

Jenni, single pencils are clearanced for $.09 right now. I hate fillers, too, and always try to find something I need, but I got stuck yesterday and had to buy a pencil.

Jan, I found those packages, too! Lucky for me, my region got the $2.00 coupons, so I only paid $1.00 for two sprays and two wipes!

13 Amy June 22, 2009 at 2:24 pm

I think the Walgreen’s ad must be regional. The RR are not the same here in Southern Indiana.

14 Krista June 22, 2009 at 3:09 pm

Heidi, Yes the Kerasal deal only requires you to purchase one. I did it last week with no problems!!

Tara:
I’m not sure if many know about this deal but in the back of the pharmacy in Wags they have $50 in saving coupon booklet, there is one for $3.00 off studio 35 curling iron…..it is also on sale as a mega saver from $9.99 down to $4.99 -$3.00 off coupon making it $1.99 for a curling iron…..not bad…Just thought I’d share with you because it’s such a great deal!

16 Laura June 23, 2009 at 4:29 pm

Angie – I believe the Cheerios coupons arrive once per week for a total of 4 weeks. I signed up for the Cheerios coupons myself but won’t be using the coupons afterall … I’m not sure if it would work, but I would be willing to forward the links to someone if they want them. There might be a print limit per computer, or there might be a specialized link to print one per email address… it’s certainly worth a try if you use a lot of Cheerios!

I was just in Walgreens and saw Bic silky touch razors 10 pack 2/4.99. With 2 $2.00 coupons it was less then .50 a pack!

19 Melissa June 24, 2009 at 11:46 pm

I forgot to mention that I got a coupon for 5.00 off a Fusion razor as soon as the bics rang up. Hope they go on sale there soon so I have a chance to use it.
